Xbox 360 Week In Review – Another Video Game Column

Hello and welcome to my Xbox 360 video game column here on Nerdles.com courtesy of www.SuperVideoGamer.com. Every Wednesday I’ll be taking out my glass eye and pointing it at the Xbox 360. For my first week I’m going to keep it simple; I’ll skim across the news and then look ahead to this week’s new video game releases. So, rather than waffle on here, let’s get straight to it shall we? In the news… Limbo, Trials HD And Splosion Man Going Retail Microsoft announced that Limbo, Trials HD and Splosion Man will be bundled together and thrown out onto retail shelves as part of an Xbox Live hits compilation. Surprisingly, if you pick the compilation…

Inferior Video Games Should Be Priced Accordingly

All new releases cost the same $59.99 in the U.S. for games on platforms like  PS3, Xbox and PC. It is a rare occasion that games sell at a reduced rate at release. Because there is a significant difference in game quality, content and resolution, games should be priced accordingly which would pick up the standards of game creators or suffer the consequences of less money. There is no excuse for game manufacturers to be making games with poor resolution when others are putting out games in 1080. Poor art work and design can only be the blame at this point and poor resolution covers up the poorly developed games. We are paying good money…

Dragon Age II Preview

I played the demo last night and found the graphics pretty good. I was a bit worried as this new release is not far behind Origins, but BioWare did a good job with its new release. Origins covered a one year span in time and this new release covers a 10 year span in time. You have the freedom to skip over the boring cut scenes that will not affect overall strategy. As in Origins you can pause and cast spells, you can only cast one. The demo was pretty short so I cannot give you a lot of details as my experience was limited. Overall the experience of the game so far was better…

Dead Island Brings Incredible Zombie Action To Gamers/Video

Axis, a UK based animation studio and publisher Deep Silver have put together the trailer for Dead Island. I have to tell you that this is not your Daddy’s zombie video game. Techland spared no none when it comes to bites and gore. Ready your ax and get ready for an onslaught of zombies. Dead Island is a survival horror title coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2011 and is set in the tropical paradise gone wrong, Banoi. The entire island is over run by zombies and the player is drawn into the mysterious and dramatic scenario. I am chomping at the bit to find out the release date, and as soon as I…

Dead Space 2 “The Nightmare Continues And I Can’t Wait” Preview

Mark it on your calendar, January 25, 2011.  The sequel to Dead Space has finally come to past and I cannot wait to be scared out of gourd again. Few games have really kept me on the edge of my seat as the first Resident Evil on PS2 did. Dead Space brought back the fear realized from way back when and one can only hope that the sequel continues the tradition of bone chilling, blood racing excitement. In the sequel Dead Space 2, Isaac Clarke has a new arsenal of weapons to exterminate Necromorphs that look pretty intriguing. The sequel offers up new challenges and terror that only a deep space scenario can produce, as…
